Role Description The Assistant Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Bukit Tagar, Selangor, supporting the safe and efficient operation of the scheduled waste facility. This role involves assisting in planning and coordinating daily facility operations, monitoring waste handling, treatment, and storage activities, and ensuring compliance with relevant environmental regulations and company policies. The Assistant Engineer will support equipment inspections, routine maintenance coordination, and reporting of operational data, incidents, and performance metrics. Responsibilities include preparing technical documentation, assisting with audits, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to uphold safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess technical skills related to engineering operations, such as basic process engineering knowledge, equipment monitoring, and understanding of waste treatment or industrial facility systems.
- Candidates should possess safety and compliance skills, including familiarity with environmental regulations, scheduled waste management guidelines, and workplace health and safety practices.
- Candidates should possess operational and coordination skills, such as planning daily tasks, organizing maintenance activities, and supporting documentation and reporting processes.
- Candidates should possess communication and teamwork skills, including the ability to work effectively with site personnel, external partners, and regulatory bodies, and to convey technical information clearly.
- Candidates should ideally have a diploma or degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related technical field, proficiency with basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office), and the ability to work on-site in Rawang.
- Relevant experience in waste management, industrial facilities, or environmental services, and a strong commitment to safety, sustainability, and continuous learning would be beneficial.
