Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Automation Engineer role based in Johore, Malaysia. The Automation Engineer will design, configure, and implement automation solutions for manufacturing systems, including PLC, HMI, and robotics-based control. Responsibilities include analyzing process requirements, developing control logic, commissioning equipment, and optimizing system performance for safety, reliability, and throughput. The role involves diagnosing and resolving automation and electrical issues, performing preventive maintenance on control systems, and preparing technical documentation such as wiring diagrams, test procedures, and operation manuals. The Automation Engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, support production during start-up and changeover activities, and contribute to continuous improvement and Industry 4.0 initiatives.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Automation and Process Control for designing, implementing, and optimizing industrial control systems.
• Candidates should possess solid Electrical Engineering skills for understanding circuits, instrumentation, and safe power distribution within automated systems.
• Candidates should possess experience in Robotics and related motion control for integration, programming, and maintenance of robotic platforms.
• Candidates should possess advanced Troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving control, electrical, and system integration issues in manufacturing environments.
• Relevant skills such as PLC and HMI programming, SCADA systems, and industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP) are highly beneficial.
• Diploma or degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, Automation, or related engineering discipline is preferred, along with experience in industrial or manufacturing settings.
• Ability to read technical drawings, follow safety standards, manage multiple projects, and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders is essential.
