Robotics Software Engineer

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop, debug, and maintain ROS C++ programs for core functional modules of intelligent construction robots (e.g., AI-driven tower cranes)
  • Develop, maintain, and validate robot simulation environments using tools such as Unity and Matlab
  • Integrate, test, and troubleshoot industrial communication protocols in robotic systems, including Modbus and CANBus
  • Develop, integrate, and test sensor drivers
  • Build Docker images, implement containerized deployment, and manage the robotic software system to ensure consistency between development and deployment environments
  • Lead or assist in on-site deployment, integration testing, data logging, and report writing for the software system at construction sites
  • Develop a deep understanding of fundamental robotic principles (perception, planning, and control) and apply theoretical knowledge to practical problem-solving and performance optimization

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Robotics Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, Electronic Information Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
  • Proficiency in C++ programming, with strong software design skills and a solid programming foundation; familiar with the Linux development environment
  • Extensive hands-on experience in ROS1/ROS2 project development, with a solid understanding of its communication mechanisms, common tools, and ecosystem
  • Familiar with at least one robot simulation tool (e.g., Unity, Gazebo, Matlab/Simulink), with experience in simulation environment setup and model development
  • Familiar with Docker container technology, with practical experience in image building and deployment
  • Proficient in Git version control, with good code management and collaborative development practices
  • Familiar with at least one industrial communication protocol (e.g., Modbus, CANBus, Ethernet/IP); experience in hardware-software integration is a plus
  • Basic understanding of core robotic modules such as perception, path planning, and motion control; experience in robotics competitions or related projects is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent teamwork and communication abilities, and the willingness to occasionally provide on-site support
