Responsibilities
The Mechanical Executive is responsible for supporting the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of production equipment across Cacaovia Group's manufacturing facility. This role works closely with the Production, QA, and Maintenance teams to ensure production machinery, utilities, and Cleaning-in-Place (CIP) systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with food safety requirements while supporting smooth production workflow.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the daily operation and performance of production machinery to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.
Coordinate and monitor Cleaning-in-Place (CIP) activities to ensure equipment cleanliness and compliance with GMP, HACCP, Halal, and food safety requirements.
Monitor machine performance and identify potential mechanical issues to minimize equipment downtime.
Assist in troubleshooting mechanical and production equipment issues in coordination with the Maintenance team.
Support preventive maintenance activities to improve equipment reliability and production efficiency.
Assist in production line setup, machine commissioning, and equipment changeover activities.
Monitor production workflow and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce downtime.
Coordinate with Production, QA/QC, Warehouse, and R&D to support daily manufacturing operations and new product trials.
Maintain engineering documentation, maintenance records, equipment history, and related technical reports.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S, Kaizen, OEE improvement, waste reduction, and productivity enhancement.
Support engineering projects involving equipment installation, modification, and process improvements.
Ensure compliance with company SOPs, GMP, HACCP, Halal requirements, OSHA Malaysia, and workplace safety regulations.
Assist in monitoring spare parts inventory and coordinate procurement requirements with the Engineering team.
Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly engineering or maintenance reports as required.
Perform any other duties assigned by the Engineering Manager or Production Manager.
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
Internship or industrial training experience in manufacturing or food processing will be an advantage.
Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, pumps, motors, conveyors, pneumatic systems, and manufacturing equipment.
Basic understanding of preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement concepts.
Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, Halal, and food safety requirements is an advantage.
Familiarity with 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, or Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) is an added advantage.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; knowledge of AutoCAD or engineering software is an advantage.
Willing to work in a manufacturing environment, support production operations, and respond to operational requirements when necessary.
