Job Description

Responsibilities

Main Responsibility:

  • Execute monthly and year-end closing processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Prepare and post journal entries, reconciliations, and financial schedules, and guide the team in doing the same.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.
  • Prepare financial statements, management reports, and consolidation reporting in coordination with the Group Finance Team.
  • Prepare, monitor, and manage the full budgeting and forecasting cycle, including financial performance reporting and variance analysis to support management decision-making.
  • Prepare audited financial statements.
  • Manage internal and external audit processes and liaise directly with auditors, LHDN (Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia), SSM, and other relevant government authorities.
  • Strengthen internal control systems and accounting procedures.
  • Supervise and develop accounting staff to ensure quality deliverables.
  • Lead process improvement and system enhancement initiatives.
  • Work closely with Operations and Procurement teams on inventory control, cost analysis, and profitability improvement.
  • Support the maintenance and continual improvement of the company's Quality Management System (QMS) by following established procedures and contributing to process improvements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Group Financial Controller / CEO.

Treasury & Financial Planning

  • Manage company cash flow, working capital, and treasury operations, including monitoring of bank balances, banking facilities, and banking relationships.
  • Lead financial planning and analysis (FP&A), providing financial modelling, KPI tracking, and business performance insights to support management decision-making.
  • Support management in financial analysis, capital expenditure evaluation, and business decision-making.
  • Monitor financial and foreign currency risk exposure and recommend appropriate hedging or mitigation strategies.
  • Evaluate financing options and support banking facility renewals, loan applications, and other financing activities as required

Other Responsibilities

  • Provide light-touch HR and administrative support for the Malaysia office, including employee records and payroll processing, liaison with government agencies on licenses and compliance, and coordination with non-trade vendors.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or equivalent professional qualification (ACCA, СА, СРА, МІСРА, etc.).
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting, preferably with exposure to manufacturing environment. Prior audit experience is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysia regulatory requirements, taxation, and Companies Act 2016 (CA2016)
  • Experience in financial planning & analysis (FP&A), cash flow/treasury management, or financial business partnering is highly advantageous.
  • Strong financial modelling and analytical skills, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights for senior management.
  • Hands-on, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Meticulous, accurate, and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Pay: RM10,000.00 - RM13,000.00 per month
