Junior Accountant | Accounts & Administration

Mahmood Gaznavi Chambers, a law firm, is looking for a Junior Accountant to join our team.

We are seeking a meticulous, organised and motivated individual to support the firm’s day-to-day accounting and administrative functions.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build a strong foundation in accounting while gaining exposure to the operations of a professional legal practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the firm’s office and client accounts
• Handle day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping matters
• Prepare invoices, bills and statements of account
• Record and monitor payments and expenses
• Assist with account reconciliation and maintaining accurate financial records
• Maintain proper documentation and filing
• Assist with general administrative and operational matters
• Provide support to the team as required

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and a responsible approach to work
• Good organisational and communication skills
• Able to handle confidential information with discretion
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
• Prior accounting or administrative experience is an advantage, but not essential
• Experience in a law firm is not required
