Job Description: - Oversee the daily operations of the Finance & Accounts Department. - Supervise and support Account Executives to ensure work is completed accurately - Manage the full set of accounts - Ensure monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities are completed within deadlines. - Review and approve payment vouchers, journal entries, and other financial transactions. - Prepare and review management accounts and financial reports. - Monitor financial performance and provide analysis and recommendations to Management. - Assist with budgeting, cash flow planning, forecasting, and variance analysis. - Identify financial risks and suggest improvements for better cost control and profitability. - Prepare consolidated financial statements for the Group. - Handle inter-company transactions, elimination entries, and investment accounting. - Ensure compliance with MFRS, the Companies Act, tax regulations, and other statutory requirements. - Manage timely submissions for SST, EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB, income tax, and audit requirements. - Liaise with auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, bankers, and government authorities. - Use and manage the AutoCount Accounting System effectively. - Support automation, digitalisation, system upgrades, and e-Invoice implementation. - Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance & Accounts team. - Delegate tasks effectively and monitor team performance. - Work closely with the Head of Finance & Accounts on departmental planning and strategic initiatives. Job Requirement: - Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. - Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA Australia, CIMA, MIA, or equivalent is an added advantage. - Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role. - Proven experience in handling full set accounts independently. - Proven experience in preparing group consolidated financial statements. - Hands-on working experience with the AutoCount Accounting System is required.
