Responsibilities:

1. New Business Development: Actively identify and approach new industrial customers. Generate new leads through cold calling, customer visits, referrals, exhibitions, online enquiries, territory mapping and social media campaign. Develop business opportunities within factories, warehouses, logistics companies, distributors, retailers and other relevant industries. Convert prospects into active buying customers.
2. Territory and Market Coverage: Systematically cover the assigned sales territory, postcode and industry segments. Build and maintain a complete customer database for the assigned territory. Identify underserved areas, new industrial developments and high-potential customer segments. Ensure regular customer visitation and market presence.
3. Sales Opportunity Creation: Understand customers’ operational requirements and recommend suitable products or solutions. Generate enquiries, quotations, demonstrations, site visits and project discussions. Maintain sufficient qualified opportunities to support future sales targets. Build a minimum sales pipeline of three to four times the monthly sales target.
4. Sales Target Achievement: Achieve the assigned monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets. Achieve the required gross profit percentage and gross profit value. Focus on profitable sales instead of sales volume alone. Develop recovery plans immediately when performance falls below target.
5. Customer Development: Develop new customers into regular and long-term accounts. Strengthen relationships with purchasing, operations, maintenance, warehouse and management personnel. Identify cross-selling opportunities across PMKTG’s product range. Conduct regular follow-up on quotations, projects and repeat orders.
6. Product and Solution Selling: Maintain sufficient knowledge of PMKTG’s products, applications and commercial advantages. Recommend appropriate products based on customer requirements, budget and application. Work with Product Support, Warehouse Equiment, Racking, After-Sales and Management teams when technical assistance is required. Avoid making unauthorised technical, pricing or delivery commitments.
7. Quotation and Conversion Management: Prepare accurate and timely quotations. Follow up all quotations according to the required sales process. Record quotation status, customer feedback, competitor information and next action. Improve quotation-to-order conversion rate through disciplined follow-up.
8. Pricing and Gross Profit Control: Follow the approved company price list, discount authority and approval process. Protect the company’s minimum gross profit requirement. Obtain management approval for special pricing, project discounts or non-standard commercial terms. Avoid unnecessary price discounting without clear commercial justification.
9. Collection and Credit Control: Support Finance in following up outstanding customer payments. Ensure customer credit terms are understood before confirming an order. Avoid accepting orders from customers with unresolved overdue accounts without approval. Ensure all required deposits, payment documents and agreements are completed.
10. CRM and Sales Reporting: Record all leads, customer visits, quotations, opportunities and follow-up actions in the company CRM. Maintain accurate customer information, including postcode, industry, contact person and territory. Submit CRM weekly sales activity, opportunity pipeline and forecast reports. Provide an accurate monthly sales forecast to the Sales HOD.
11. Internal Coordination: Coordinate with Sales Administration, Warehouse, Logistics, Finance, After-Sales and Product teams. Ensure orders are properly handed over after confirmation. Communicate customer requirements, delivery expectations and special conditions clearly. Escalate operational or customer issues early instead of waiting for problems to worsen.
12. Professional Conduct: Represent the company professionally during customer visits and communications. Protect confidential pricing, costing, drawings and customer information. Follow company policies, approval limits and ethical sales practices. Take ownership of customer issues until proper handover or resolution.
13. Marketing Collaboration and Social Media Lead Generation: Work closely with the Marketing Department to create practical and relevant social media content that generates sales enquiries. Contribute a minimum of two sales-related content pieces per month. Provide customer pain points, product applications, project references, market trends and frequently asked questions as content ideas. Participate in product videos, demonstrations, customer case studies, site visits and educational content when required. Ensure all content accurately represents PMKTG’s products, capabilities and approved commercial information. Respond promptly to sales leads generated through social media and digital marketing campaigns. Record all digital leads, follow-up actions and opportunity status in the CRM system. Provide Marketing with feedback on lead quality, customer response and content effectiveness. Support the promotion of PMKTG’s full product range through cross-selling and industry-focused content.

Qualifications and Candidate Profile:

• Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or a related field.
• Relevant sales experience in industrial products, material handling equipment, warehouse equipment, racking, machinery or B2B solutions is preferred.
• Strong interest in business development, prospecting and new customer acquisition; strong hunter mentality.
• Able to communicate and negotiate confidently with customers.
• Self-motivated, disciplined and comfortable working with sales targets; proactive and disciplined in follow-up and reporting.
• Commercially aware and able to protect gross profit.
• Able to manage customer visits, quotations, follow-ups and CRM reporting independently.
• Possess a valid driving licence and own transport.
• Fresh graduates with strong sales interest may also be considered.

The Sales Executive is responsible for developing new customers, expanding market coverage, creating qualified sales opportunities, and achieving profitable sales growth within an assigned product portfolio and territory. The role focuses on market development and customer acquisition through hunting, prospecting, pipeline creation, gross profit protection, and disciplined collections.
