Job Title: Food Processing Worker
Job Summary
The Food Processing Worker is responsible for assisting in the production, processing, packaging, and handling of food products while maintaining quality, food safety, and hygiene standards. The role involves operating processing equipment, monitoring production processes, and ensuring products meet company and regulatory requirements.
Operate and monitor food processing and packaging equipment according to standard operating procedures.
Prepare, process, portion, and package food products in accordance with production schedules.
Inspect raw materials and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
Perform sorting, weighing, labeling, and packing of food products.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, equipment, and production areas.
Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures at all times.
Report equipment malfunctions, quality issues, or production irregularities to supervisors.
Assist with loading, unloading, and movement of raw materials and finished goods.
Record production data and complete required documentation accurately.
Support inventory handling and stock rotation using FIFO (First In, First Out) principles.
Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to meet production targets.
Participate in routine cleaning, maintenance, and continuous improvement activities.
Secondary school education or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience in food manufacturing, food processing, or a production environment is an advantage but not required.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
Willingness to work shifts, weekends, overtime, and public holidays when required.
Good teamwork, reliability, and attention to detail.
Food Hygiene or Food Safety certification.
Experience operating food processing or packaging machinery.
Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), or other food safety systems.
