Job Title: Java Backend Developer (J2EE / API Integration)

Location: Kuala Lumpur
Employment Type: Contract

We are looking for a skilled Java Backend Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Java/J2EE development, backend systems, API integration, and enterprise application development.

You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining backend applications while collaborating with multiple teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement backend applications using Java/J2EE platform
• Design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and system integrations
• Work with internal and external systems to support distributed architecture
• Develop interfaces for backend systems and self-service call flows
• Understand and implement API authentication mechanisms
• Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and bug fixing
• Prepare and execute system test cases and ensure quality delivery
• Conduct unit testing and provide proper documentation for developed solutions
• Collaborate with multiple teams and third-party applications for integration activities
• Maintain source code quality by following best practices and proper documentation
• Participate in implementation activities, discussions, and technical troubleshooting

Requirements:

• Local candidates only
• Minimum 4 - 8 years of experience in Java development
• Strong knowledge of Java/J2EE platform
• Experience in backend application development and API integration
• Good understanding of REST API / Web Services
• Experience working with Oracle Database
• Understanding of integration patterns and distributed architecture
• Familiarity with code repositories such as Git / Azure DevOps
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new technologies
