About the Job
A well-established and growing retail organization is seeking an experienced Senior HR Manager to lead and drive its people strategy in Malaysia. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic and hands-on HR professional who is passionate about strengthening employee relations, fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture, and supporting business growth through effective people practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full spectrum of Human Resources functions, with a strong focus on employee relations, employee engagement, performance management, talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, learning and development, and succession planning.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders and managers on employee relations matters, workplace concerns, conflict resolution, and people-related challenges.
- Develop and implement HR strategies that align with organizational objectives while promoting a positive, collaborative, and high-performing work environment.
- Drive employee engagement, retention, well-being, and organizational development initiatives to enhance the overall employee experience.
- Foster a culture of open communication, trust, inclusion, and accountability across all levels of the organization.
- Ensure compliance with Malaysian employment laws, company policies, and HR best practices.
- Provide coaching and guidance to managers on employee performance, employee relations issues, and leadership effectiveness.
- Manage and develop the HR team to deliver high-quality, employee-focused HR services.
- Lead change management initiatives and support business transformation projects while maintaining employee engagement and morale.
- Monitor and analyze HR metrics, employee feedback, and engagement data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 8–10 years of progressive HR experience, including leadership responsibilities.
- Strong experience in employee relations, workplace culture, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Sound knowledge of Malaysian labor laws and HR regulations.
- Proven experience partnering with senior stakeholders and influencing business decisions.
- Excellent leadership, communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience within the retail sector is highly preferred.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution in a fast-paced environment.
