Job Requirements
- Minimum 6–7 years of professional experience as a Japanese interpreter in any industry.
- Native or fluent Japanese speakers with relevant work experience in a Japanese corporate environment are encouraged to apply.
- Proven ability in simultaneous interpretation is highly preferred.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in any field.
- Japanese language proficiency equivalent to JLPT N1.
- English language proficiency equivalent to CEFR C1 or above.
- Excellent communication and comprehension skills in both Japanese and English.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with translation software is a plus.
- Interest or experience in the gaming industry is an advantage.
- Experience in project coordination or project management is a plus.
- Provide high-quality consecutive and simultaneous interpretation during meetings and project discussions between Japanese clients and local teams.
- Support Japanese expatriates with real-time interpretation during internal discussions and collaborations.
- Participate in recruitment activities by interpreting during interviews and candidate evaluations.
- Deliver accurate and context-appropriate interpretation that avoids miscommunication.
- Follow up with internal stakeholders to ensure clarity and satisfaction with interpreted content.
- Perform written translation tasks when interpretation is not required.
- Review and proofread translations to ensure accuracy in grammar, tone, and formatting.
