What you will be doing (Key Responsibilities):
- Pre‑Contract/Tender: Own BQs, cost estimates, and pricing strategies; source and evaluate contractors/suppliers; lead commercial negotiations and tender submissions; conduct benchmarking and risk analysis.
- Procurement (Post‑Award): Develop procurement plans; pre‑qualify vendors; analyze quotes and recommend awards; negotiate terms; issue POs/subcontracts; ensure governance and track delivery/lead times; manage supply‑chain risks.
- Contract Administration: Align subcontracts with main contract; manage variations, claims, and dispute avoidance; oversee payment certifications, notices, and commercial documentation; lead final accounts and close‑out.
- Cost Control & Reporting: Maintain pricing/vendor databases; monitor budgets, forecasts, and cost trends; produce periodic commercial reports (cost variance, procurement status, risk summaries, savings, project costing).
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner closely with Sales, Project, Technical, and Finance to maintain accurate costing and robust commercial control; report to the Solution Manager.
What do we need from you (Job Requirements):
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying (Hons), Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
- 5+ years’ QS experience in construction; exposure to high-rise, commercial, industrial, infrastructure, or data center projects preferred.
- Main contractor experience is highly advantageous.
- Mandarin language is required for communication purposes with mandarin speaking clients.
