Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead Planning, Reliability, Maintenance Support, Workshop, and Piping functions to improve plant availability, equipment reliability, shutdown performance, and maintenance service quality.
  • Plan, coordinate, and govern plant shutdowns, including scope development, scheduling, resource allocation, execution monitoring, post-mortem reviews, and action tracking.
  • Develop and standardize maintenance and shutdown planning processes, workflows, reporting systems, and performance tracking tools.
  • Drive reliability programs, including condition monitoring, vibration analysis, predictive maintenance, defect management, and lubrication excellence initiatives.
  • Manage in-house Workshop and Piping teams, ensuring effective support for maintenance, repairs, fabrication, shutdowns, and plant improvement projects.
  • Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and reliability improvement initiatives for critical and recurring equipment failures.
  • Identify and implement maintenance optimization and cost-saving opportunities through improved maintenance strategies, equipment refurbishment, lubrication programs, and asset performance improvements.
  • Develop and maintain planning, reliability, and maintenance tracking systems, ensuring accurate reporting, documentation, and performance monitoring.
  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Maintenance, Procurement, Safety, contractors, and vendors to ensure maintenance readiness and successful project execution.
  • Develop and standardize SOPs, work instructions, inspection standards, and maintenance procedures.
  • Promote safe work practices and regulatory compliance during maintenance and shutdown activities.
  • Lead, coach, and develop engineers, planners, supervisors, and technicians to build a strong reliability-focused culture.
  • Support future maintenance digitalization initiatives through structured data management and reporting systems.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in maintenance, reliability, shutdown planning, plant engineering, workshop operations, piping services, or heavy industrial maintenance.
  • Experience in paper mills, process plants, heavy manufacturing, or related industries is preferred.


Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of preventive, predictive, condition-based maintenance, reliability engineering, RCA, and lubrication management.
  • Proven experience in shutdown planning, resource coordination, contractor management, and execution control.
  • Familiarity with condition monitoring techniques, including vibration analysis and equipment inspection.
  • Experience managing workshop, piping, repair, refurbishment, and fabrication activities.
  • Strong Excel and maintenance tracking/reporting skills.
  • Excellent leadership, project management, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good understanding of maintenance safety requirements and permit-to-work systems.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint, Power BI, SAP, or other maintenance management systems is an added advantage.
