Job Description:

We are seeking a highly meticulous and ethical Compliance Officer to ensure our operations in the precious stones and precious metals industry adhere to all legal, regulatory, and ethical standards. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing compliance frameworks, risk management, and regulatory reporting while ensuring our business Key Responsibilities

Compliance & Regulatory Support

  • Assist in ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain compliance records, registers, and documentation.
  • Support Know Your Customer (KYC) and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) processes.
  • Assist in preparing documents required for compliance reviews and audits.
  • Monitor licence renewals, regulatory deadlines, and statutory filings.
  • Liaise with external parties such as corporate secretaries, auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities when required.
  • Assist in reviewing internal policies and standard operating procedures.

Administrative Support

  • Manage company records and maintain proper filing systems (physical and electronic).
  • Prepare letters, reports, meeting minutes, and business correspondence.
  • Coordinate meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements where necessary.
  • Handle incoming calls, emails, and general administrative enquiries.
  • Maintain office supplies and provide general office administration support.
  • Assist with document preparation for management and business operations.

Other Duties

  • Support finance and operations teams with administrative tasks.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Diploma, Higher NITEC, or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Prior experience in compliance, corporate secretarial, administration, or financial services is an advantage but not essential.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Meticulous, responsible, and able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and work both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills

  • Basic understanding of corporate governance and regulatory compliance.
  • Knowledge of KYC/AML requirements is an advantage.
  • Experience with document management and record keeping.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
