Job Description

Responsibilities

Roles & Responsibilities

Public Address (PA) System Management

  • Train and mentor the student PA crew volunteers to handle sound and audio gear during daily assemblies, chapel sessions, and official school events.
  • Handle routine monitoring, technical troubleshooting, and maintenance of all on-site PA networks.
  • Act as the direct point of contact for external vendors, coordinating on-site equipment installations, hardware servicing, or specialized repairs.

Audio-Visual Resources & Support

  • Direct and execute the technical AV setup for all major school programs and pre-approved staff events.
  • Track inventory levels, handle resource checkouts, and maintain precise documentation for loans of PA and AV equipment.
  • Evaluate the institution's ongoing multimedia needs and provide technical specifications or market pricing recommendations to the HOD (ICT).
  • Manage structural purchasing processes for new AV acquisitions via official quotations, bulk tenders, or standard procurement avenues.
  • Oversee classroom and specialized room multimedia setups, conducting regular termly audits alongside half-yearly preventive checkups on instructional projectors and visualizers.
  • Assist in evaluating outdated equipment and managing the official condemnation of legacy AV materials.

Broadcasting & Event Streaming

  • Provide end-to-end technical oversight for live and pre-recorded broadcast events, including flagship ceremonies like Founder's Day.
  • Maintain deep operational familiarity with production streaming equipment and digital delivery channels, specifically YouTube Live and Facebook Live.
  • Guide and coordinate designated teams of students during real-time broadcast productions.

General IT & Administrative Duties

  • Provide full technical assistance for video conferencing tools during school-wide staff training and synchronous learning sessions.
  • Deliver relevant skills training to teachers and students participating in media production or broadcast teams.
  • Support the school's operational requirements for listening comprehension examinations, device soldering repairs, and general IT troubleshooting within the ICT framework.
  • Provide administrative backup to teaching staff for standard document production, printing, laminating, CD duplication, and basic video editing tasks.

Job Requirements

  • Education: A relevant certification in audio, video, or a media production discipline is highly preferred.
  • AV Experience: At least 1 year of professional hands-on experience handling and troubleshooting AV equipment layouts.
  • Broadcast Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience coordinating tech setups for live-streamed or recorded production events.
  • Environment: At least 1 year of prior working experience within a school-based or educational institution environment is highly advantageous.
  • Technical Skills: Possess basic technical skills, such as soldering, to perform minor equipment fixes and device repairs.


Working Hours:

  • Mondays to Fridays, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM (Inclusive of a 1-hour lunch break; occasional after-office or weekend support required for major events)
