SUMMARY OF THE OVERALL JOB
This role supports TAP Chairman and Managing Director with creating internal and external alliances on key strategic, operational and transformational projects.

This is a liaison and support role which requires the role holder to network and influence between the various TAP and Global stakeholders, to ensure formation and execution of appropriate short and long range plans.

Role will also closely work with TC SPD to ensure that TAP strategic interests are supported at corporate levels.

Lastly, as member of the Board in key TAP entities, the candidate will play an important strategic and governance role for them.

Must work in absolute tandem with Global and APACBU and Function Leaders in a ‘Business Led Management’ environment.

KEY FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES
Vision & Strategic Planning Support:

• Supporting Chairman & Managing Director of TAP with key strategic and operational projects.
• On behalf of TAP Chairman, plan, support and coordinate various strategic and high impact long range plans and transformation initiatives
• Support Chairman& Managing Director of TAP for Strategic Planning Department  liaison with headquarters, and help build TAP and Entities Long Range Plans and Annual Operating Plans.
• Act as a strategic liaison by influencing and coordinating work with various functions and teams in the TAP region, to manage stakeholder, project timelines, risks, resources and finances of the initiatives.

Liaison with TC and Other BU HQs:

• In the interest of TAP and its key priorities, liaise with TC and other BU HQs to follow up, influence and align management members to those priorities.
• Connect and facilitate discussions between TAP members and key overseas management members to support, influence and ensure alignment and effective outcomes
• Provide necessary support and collaboration to TAP BU, Function and Entity Leaders, on behalf of the Office of Chairman and Managing Director of TAP

Networking, Relationship building & Integrating

• Network and use influence with such agencies and / or authorities like the Japanese Embassies in Singapore and Entity locations, JICA, JFMDA, MT Japan, local Japanese industry associations. 
• Work closely with various agencies so to remain aware of developments such as Private Public Partnership and Funding routes to build Terumo reputation and potential business opportunities.
• Bring in the power of this network and opportunities to TAP and TC to design and support partnership led business and social investing projects.

Leadership:

• Be a member of the TAP Leadership Team, and act in the best interest of long term success of TAP.
• Participate in some TAP Entity BoDs to provide strategic and governance direction and support.
• Establish and maintain positive &co-operative working relationship with management, regional, global and headquarters colleagues.
• Along with TAP Chairman and Managing Director, uphold Terumo Core Values, Code of Compliance, Spirit of TsuNaGu, Business Led Management and Associate Experience enhancement.

Education and Experience

• University Degree, Graduate or Post Graduate Degree or MBA or other relevant qualification in Business/ Marketing
• Must be able to fluently communicate in English and Japanese Business Language skills (spoken and written) is preferred
• Minimum 10 years and above of relevant experience and working experience preferably in pharmaceutical, healthcare, medical devices industry.
