Job Description

Responsibilities

Job Summary

  • Daily monitoring of existing and special order medicines and other pharmaceuticals to replenish stock.
  • Checking of incoming supplies in order to ensure they are correct, free from breakage and spoilage.
  • Unpack medicines and pharmaceuticals and arrange them on the shelves.
  • Ensures proper segregation, labelling and storage of pharmaceuticals is consistent with the manufacturer’s recommendations.
  • Ensures correct recording in the stock card and physical and system stock are tally.
  • Receives stock into the inventory by creating Goods Received Note in the system.
  • Responsible for the transfer of drugs and other items from the store to other departments for dispensing and distribution.
  • Responsible for the monitoring and inspection of the expiry dates and storage condition of items in the store.
  • Ensures timeliness in processing Goods Received, Stock Requisition and Stock Transfer.
  • Informs the Pharmacy Purchasing Personnel of the items low in stock for ordering.
  • Assists in performing stock checks within the department as well as in the wards.
  • Ensures that the store is clean and organised.
  • Attends to the administrative and clerical needs in the operations of the Pharmacy service.
  • Assists in the filing of Invoices, Stock Requisition and Stock Transfer documents for records keeping and payment.
  • Assists the Head of Department and Pharmacist to collect and maintain departmental documents and
  • records for mandatory requirements, internal and external administrative audit purposes.
  • Assists the Head of Department/Purchasing Personnel in monitoring stock par levels, expiry dates, stock rotation, drugs returns/replacement and etc.
  • At all times, maintains strict confidentiality of any information encountered during the course of your duties.
  • Enhances professional growth and development through reading of relevant literature, as well as attendance to relevant training programmes (internal & external).
  • Assists the Head of Department in planning, monitoring and managing safety and performance improvement activities when needed.
  • Performs duties and responsibilities directed by the Superior/Management, from time to time.

Job Requirement

  • SPM or equivalent qualification.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Computer literate.
  • Able to interact effectively with all hospital staff and employees.
  • Hardworking and responsible.
  • Honest, trustworthy, and able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Able to perform duties and responsibilities with a high level of accountability.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM3,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
