GLD Alloys (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Finance Executive to support our daily accounting and finance operations.
The successful candidate will handle operational accounting activities and work closely with the purchasing, warehouse, production, sales, and management teams. Candidates with experience in a manufacturing environment are strongly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle day-to-day accounting transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Process supplier invoices, payments, credit notes, and debit notes.
- Prepare customer invoices and monitor outstanding payments.
- Perform bank, supplier, customer, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities.
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, prepayments, provisions, and supporting schedules.
- Assist in preparing management accounts and financial reports.
- Support inventory reconciliation, stock counts, and manufacturing-related accounting activities.
- Assist with fixed asset records, depreciation, additions, and disposals.
- Prepare documents and schedules for auditors, tax agents, and other professional advisers.
- Support SST, e-Invoice, tax, and statutory compliance matters where applicable.
- Ensure accounting records are accurate, properly supported, and maintained in accordance with company policies.
- Coordinate with internal departments to resolve accounting and documentation discrepancies.
- Perform other finance-related duties assigned by the Finance Manager or management.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 1–3 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, metal, industrial, or production environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, general ledger, and month-end closing.
- Exposure to inventory accounting, manufacturing costing, or stock reconciliation is an added advantage.
- Basic knowledge of Malaysian accounting, tax, SST, and e-Invoice requirements is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting or ERP systems.
- Strong numerical ability, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Good organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently and meet reporting deadlines.
- Responsible, reliable, and willing to learn.
