Role Description The Professional Engineer will oversee the planning, design, and execution of construction and civil engineering projects, ensuring compliance with local regulations, codes, and safety standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and reviewing engineering designs and drawings, performing technical calculations, coordinating with project managers, site supervisors, and contractors, and conducting site inspections to monitor progress and quality. The role involves resolving technical issues on-site, preparing reports and documentation, and supporting procurement and tender processes with accurate estimates and specifications. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Shah Alam, where regular on-site presence is required and some work-from-home arrangements are acceptable, depending on project needs.
Qualifications

• Professional engineering registration or eligibility for registration with a recognized engineering body, and a degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
• Strong technical proficiency in structural and civil design, including familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, civil/structural analysis tools).
• Experience in construction project coordination, site supervision, and managing timelines, budgets, and quality requirements.
• Ability to interpret drawings and specifications, prepare technical documentation, and produce clear engineering reports.
• Solid knowledge of health, safety, and environmental requirements in construction, with a commitment to safe work practices.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and external stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities, with attention to detail and practical judgment on-site.
• Willingness to work in a hybrid arrangement based in Shah Alam, including regular site visits and occasional extended hours when project demands require.
