About the Role
One of our valued clients is seeking an experienced and creative Senior Interior Designer to lead the design and execution of premium residential and commercial interior projects. This role is ideal for a passionate design professional with strong technical expertise, project management capabilities, and the ability to deliver innovative design solutions from concept through completion.
You will work closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure every project is delivered to the highest design and quality standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Concept Development
- Lead the development of creative design concepts for residential and commercial interior projects.
- Prepare space planning, mood boards, material palettes, and presentation proposals.
- Develop detailed design drawings, layouts, elevations, sections, and construction documentation.
- Select furniture, fixtures, finishes, lighting, and accessories that align with project objectives and budgets.
- Ensure all designs balance functionality, aesthetics, and commercial viability.
Project Management
- Manage multiple interior design projects from concept design through final completion.
- Develop project schedules and monitor design deliverables.
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure design quality and construction progress.
- Resolve design, technical, and site-related issues efficiently while maintaining project timelines.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Conduct client meetings, design presentations, and project reviews.
- Understand client requirements and translate them into practical and innovative design solutions.
- Provide professional advice on materials, finishes, space utilization, and budget considerations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
Technical Coordination
- Produce accurate construction drawings and technical documentation.
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and suppliers throughout project execution.
- Review shop drawings, material submissions, and mock-ups for design compliance.
- Ensure designs comply with local building regulations, safety requirements, and industry standards.
Team Leadership
- Mentor and guide junior designers throughout project delivery.
- Review design work and provide constructive feedback.
- Support continuous improvement of design processes and internal workflows.
- Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing within the design team.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5–8 years of professional experience in Interior Design.
- Strong portfolio showcasing high-end residential, commercial, hospitality, or mixed-use projects.
- Proven experience managing projects independently from concept through completion.
- Strong understanding of construction detailing, material specifications, and site coordination.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and client management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM15,000.00 per month
