Key Responsibilities
Procurement Management
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the company's operational and business objectives.
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing, tendering, evaluation, negotiation, award, and contract administration.
- Ensure timely procurement of mining equipment, heavy machinery, spare parts, explosives, fuel, chemicals, PPE, consumables, and operational services.
- Review and approve purchase requisitions and purchase orders in accordance with delegated authority limits.
Supplier Management
- Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers.
- Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and contractors.
- Conduct supplier performance evaluations based on quality, delivery, cost competitiveness, safety, and service.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, warranties, service agreements, and long-term supply contracts.
Cost Management
- Drive cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality or operational requirements.
- Monitor market trends, commodity prices, and supply chain risks.
- Prepare procurement budgets and cost analyses.
- Identify opportunities for strategic sourcing and bulk purchasing.
Contract Management
- Prepare, review, and manage procurement contracts and service agreements.
- Ensure suppliers comply with contractual obligations.
- Coordinate with legal and finance departments on contractual matters.
Inventory & Logistics Coordination
- Collaborate with warehouse and operations teams to optimize inventory levels.
- Monitor stock availability for critical spare parts and consumables.
- Coordinate delivery schedules with suppliers to support uninterrupted mining operations.
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company procurement policies, governance standards, and applicable laws.
- Maintain proper procurement documentation and audit trails.
- Support internal and external procurement audits.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop procurement personnel.
- Set departmental KPIs and monitor performance.
- Promote ethical procurement practices and continuous improvement.
Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with Mine Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Finance, HSE, Project Management, and senior management.
- Provide procurement reports, spend analyses, and supplier performance updates.
Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM11,000.00 per month
