Packaging Development & Innovation
- Develop new packaging structures, materials, and formats for New Product Development (NPD), product renovation, and cost optimization projects.
- Evaluate packaging suitability for various food categories including biscuits, snacks, and confectionery products.
- Conduct packaging benchmarking against competitors and market trends.
- Support sustainability initiatives through recyclable packaging, mono-material solutions, downgauging, and environmentally friendly packaging improvements.
- Collaborate with suppliers to identify innovative packaging technologies and materials.
Technical Evaluation & Validation
- Conduct packaging trials at laboratory and production scale.
- Validate packaging performance and troubleshoot packaging-related issues during production and commercialization.
- Coordinate packaging tests including transit tests, drop tests, compression tests, and storage studies where required.
- Ensure packaging solutions meet product quality, shelf-life, manufacturing efficiency, cost competitiveness, regulatory compliance, and consumer requirements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with R&D, Marketing, Procurement, QA, Production, and Engineering teams to deliver packaging innovation and improvement projects.
- Collaborate with Marketing on packaging aesthetics, product claims, and consumer requirements.
- Partner with Production and Engineering to ensure packaging compatibility with existing machinery.
- Support Procurement in supplier qualification and cost optimization activities.
Commercialization & Project Management
- Lead packaging implementation timelines for new product launches and renovation projects.
- Prepare technical documentation including packaging specifications, Bill of Materials (BOM), artwork checks, packaging standards, and trial reports.
- Manage packaging change control processes and risk assessments.
- Ensure projects are delivered within agreed timelines and cost targets.
Supplier & Stakeholder Management
- Engage with packaging suppliers for technical support, material improvements, and troubleshooting.
- Evaluate supplier capabilities and conduct packaging material assessments.
- Maintain good working relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
