Headquartered in Prai, Penang, the company operates two major factories located in Prai and Kuala Perlis. IRIICHI (Malaysia) began with electronic devices such as coils, transformers, and switching power supplies and has since diversified its product range. The business now includes EMS products (such as ECR and facsimile machines), battery chargers and controllers, solar chargers, OCN racks, LED lights, and established products in the Japanese communication field. The company offers opportunities to work with advanced manufacturing processes and a broad portfolio of electronic and communication products.
Role Description The Materials Controller is a full-time, on-site role based in Perai. This role is responsible for managing and controlling the flow of materials within the factory, including receiving, storing, issuing, and tracking materials to support production schedules. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring inventory levels, coordinating with procurement and production teams, verifying material quality and quantities, and updating material records in relevant systems. The Materials Controller also assists in planning material requirements, resolving discrepancies with suppliers or internal departments, and ensuring compliance with safety and handling procedures. The role contributes directly to efficient operations, cost control, and on-time delivery of products.
Qualifications
  • Strong skills in Materials Management and Inventory Management, with the ability to maintain accurate stock records and optimize material usage.
  • Competence in Material Handling and safe storage practices, including familiarity with warehouse operations and material movement processes.
  • Experience with Materials planning and coordination, ensuring timely availability of components and supplies for production.
  • Knowledge of Procurement processes, including basic sourcing, order tracking, and supplier coordination.
  • Attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and proficiency with inventory or ERP software systems.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with production, warehouse, and purchasing teams.
  • Ability to work on-site in a manufacturing environment, with adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Relevant certification or diploma in logistics, supply chain, manufacturing, or a related field; prior experience in electronics or manufacturing is an advantage.
