Job Overview
We are seeking a practical and hands-on IT Engineer to support and manage the company’s internal servers and administrative systems. The role will focus on maintaining secure day-to-day IT operations, protecting company systems and engineering data, implementing basic cybersecurity measures, and supporting overall information security practices.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of network security, cybersecurity fundamentals, IT infrastructure, with the ability to independently manage operational matters in a small to mid-sized company environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform system administrative roles, such as maintaining VPN access, email domains, intranet systems, asset inventories, computer equipment.
- Perform regular system updates, security patching, password management, and user access control administration.
- Support implementation of IT security policies, procedures, best practices, cybersecurity awareness briefings across the company.
- Assist in conducting basic vulnerability checks and coordinate remediation of identified issues.
- Ensure company data, engineering files, and confidential information are securely stored and protected.
- Assist in investigating and responding to cybersecurity incidents, malware infections, phishing attempts, or security breaches.
- Support backup management and basic disaster recovery procedures.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with internal IT security requirements and operational procedures.
- Work closely with the IT team, engineering, and operations departments to address security-related concerns.
- Coordinate with external IT vendors or cybersecurity service providers when required.
- Support setup and maintenance of secure systems for office and manufacturing operations.
Mandatory Requirements
Educational Background
- Diploma, or Higher Nitec in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields.
Mandatory Experience
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity, IT security, or IT infrastructure support.
- Experience with basic cybersecurity tools such as firewalls, antivirus systems, VPNs, endpoint protection, and access management.
- Familiarity with Linux-based IT environments, networking, and system administration.
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity risks, incident response, and security best practices.
