Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the full spectrum of finance and accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements, and management reports to support strategic decision-making.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and cash flow management.
• Ensure compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS), the Companies Act, tax regulations, SST, and other statutory requirements.
• Establish, review, and strengthen internal controls, financial governance, and risk management frameworks.
• Monitor financial performance through variance analysis and provide recommendations to improve profitability, cost control, and operational efficiency.
• Manage treasury functions, including cash flow, banking facilities, and working capital.
• Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, inventory, and general ledger functions.
• Coordinate annual audits and liaise with external auditors, tax agents, bankers, company secretaries, and relevant government authorities.
• Ensure timely submission of SST, corporate tax, withholding tax, and all statutory filings.
• Develop and implement finance policies, SOPs, and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team while fostering a high-performance culture.
• Partner with Management to provide financial insights, business analysis, and strategic recommendations to support business growth.
• Perform any other finance-related duties assigned by Management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Professional qualification such as MIA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA, ICAEW, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5–8 years of relevant finance and accounting experience, including at least 2–3 years in a managerial, Finance Controller, or similar leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS), taxation, SST, the Companies Act, and statutory compliance.
• Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, cash flow management, audit coordination, and financial controls.
• Experience in designing and implementing internal controls, governance, and risk management processes.
• Strong analytical, leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, and accounting software.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
• Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in manufacturing, trading, retail, or FMCG environment (where applicable).
• Experience with ERP implementation or system enhancement projects is an added advantage.
• Familiarity with Business Intelligence (BI) or financial reporting tools is an added advantage.
• Ability to communicate in Mandarin (spoken and written) is an added advantage to facilitate communication with Mandarin-speaking clients, business partners, and stakeholders.

Pay: RM8,000.00 - RM12,000.00 per month
