Finance Manager

Our client is a well-established multinational company with operations across the Asia-Pacific region. They are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to lead finance operations for the Malaysia and Japan entities while partnering closely with regional stakeholders to drive business performance, financial governance, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting, financial reporting, treasury, taxation, and finance operations for the Malaysia and Japan entities.
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and performance analysis to support business objectives.
• Act as a strategic finance business partner to support commercial and operational decision-making.
• Manage working capital, cash flow, and funding requirements to maintain healthy business liquidity.
• Oversee credit-related matters across the Rest of Asia, including Letters of Credit and risk management.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, taxation, banking, audit, and internal control requirements.
• Lead annual planning and performance management processes.
• Serve as the key SAP Finance user, ensuring data integrity, resolving system issues, and driving process improvements.
• Collaborate closely with regional Finance, HR, Commercial teams, auditors, tax authorities, banks, and other external stakeholders.
• Lead, coach, and develop the finance team while promoting continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, ICAEW or equivalent) is an advantage.
• Proven experience leading finance and accounting functions within a multinational company (MNC).
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, treasury, taxation, budgeting, forecasting, and business partnering.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing finance teams.
• Hands-on SAP experience, particularly SAP FI/CO/SD.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working with regional or multi-country finance operations is highly preferred.
