Job Summary
We are seeking a hands-on Geologist to support exploration, mine geology, and resource estimation activities. The ideal candidate combines strong fieldwork capability with the technical skill to translate field data, drilling results, and geological reports into reliable deposit/resource estimates.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct fieldwork including geological mapping, rock/soil sampling, and core logging.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret geological data to identify mineral deposits and evaluate resource potential.
• Support exploration drilling programs, including sample collection and quality control (QA/QC).
• Integrate field observations, drilling/sampling results, and geological reports to independently estimate mineral resource/deposit tonnage and grade, and present estimation methodology and confidence level to management.
• Prepare and maintain geological maps, cross-sections, and reports.
• Ensure proper geotechnical and structural assessments to support safe mining activities.
• Maintain and update geological databases, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
• Use GIS, geological modeling, and mine planning software to support resource estimation.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for management and regulatory authorities.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards during fieldwork and mining activities.
• Prepare and maintain spatial datasets, including KML/KMZ files and shapefiles, to support field navigation, exploration planning, and stakeholder reporting.
• Conduct site visits and basic ground work related to geological assessment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in mining exploration, resource evaluation, or mine geology.
• Strong knowledge of mineralogy, structural geology, and ore deposit models.
• Hands-on experience in resource/reserve estimation (e.g., block modeling, geostatistical methods such as kriging or inverse distance weighting) using software such as Micromine, Surpac, Datamine, Leapfrog, or Vulcan.
• Experience in core logging, sampling, and QA/QC procedures.
• Ability to synthesize multi-source data (mapping, core logs, assay results, geophysics) into a coherent geological model prior to estimation.
• Good report writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to stay and work in remote mining locations and under challenging conditions.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
