Position: Account Executive
Department : Accounts & Administrative
Reports To: Account & Administration Manager
Job Summary
The Account Executive is responsible for managing the company's day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial records, timely processing of transactions, and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. The role supports month-end closing, financial reporting, taxation, and audit activities.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable (AP)
- Process supplier invoices and ensure proper supporting documents are obtained.
- Prepare payment schedules and process payments accurately and on time.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Monitor outstanding payables and maintain proper filing records.
Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Prepare and issue customer invoices.
- Monitor collections and follow up on overdue payments.
- Perform customer account reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate debtor ageing reports.
General Accounting
- Record accounting entries and maintain the general ledger.
- Prepare bank reconciliations.
- Assist in monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closing.
- Verify employee claims.
- Maintain proper filing of accounting and statutory documents.
- Assist in preparing documents for financing and regulatory submissions.
- Perform any ad hoc duties assigned by Management.
Requirements:
Education
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
- Professional qualifications (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, MIA, etc.) are an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 1-2 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Experience in an SME environment is preferred.
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS).
- Familiar with SST and e-Invoice requirements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Experience with accounting software such as AutoCount is an added advantage.

- Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality.
Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM3,800.00 per month
