Job Location: Bandar Sunway Iskandar Puteri, Medini

Job Summary:

• Prepare customs documents, ensure compliance with import and export regulations, process customs clearance, calculate duties and taxes, maintain customs records, and submit monthly and yearly reports.

Responsibilities:

• Request or compile necessary import documentation,such as custom invoices,certificate of origin,and cargo-control documents
• Quote duty and tax rates on goods to be imported,based on federal tariffs and excise taxes
• Prepare papers for shippers to appeal for duty charges Pay,or arrange for payment of taxes and duties on shipment
• Maintain relationship with custom brokers in other ports to expedite clearing of cargo
• Assist and inform importers and exporters of step to reduce duties and taxes
• Classify goods according to tariff coding system
• Calculate duty and tariff payment owed on shipment
• Apply for tariff concessions or for duty drawbacks and other refunds
• Advise customers on import and export restrictions, tariff system, insurance requirements, quotas or other custom related matters
• Maintain a high level of energy,attention to detail,ability to prioritize tasks and duties or different importance,and multi-tasking abilities.
• To ensure Yearly Renewal of Warehouse License and Monthly Custom reports are submitted and approve on timely manner (Bank Guarantee).
• To engaged external audit company to conduct audit and submit yearly reports to Custom Department.

Qualifications:

1. Education and Experience

• Minimum SPM or more than 2 years of previous experience roles in logistics-especialy within a Custom Brokerage department and must have knowledge of computer programs such as Word, Excel and Microsoft outlook
• Experience of delivering individual/group coaching to improve the professionalism in custom brokerage environment.

2. Core Competencies Technical/Skill

• Basic mathematical computations.
• Appropriately add and compute fees,%'s,taxes currency conversions, weight, cubes, measures, Malaysian Customs and other agency fees, time zone and schedule computations.
• Experience of working within a busy,fast paced and demanding environment with the ability to work accurately and within strict time line.
• High standard of computer literacy,including experience of setting up reports to show performance and progress.
• Service Orientated and actively looking for ways help people.

3. Soft skill (desirable)

• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
• Able to work independently. Good communication skill-fluent in spoken & written English/Bahasa.
• Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.

Pay: RM2,200.00 - RM2,700.00 per month
