Job Description

Responsibilities

People

• Work closely with the General Manager to support operational objectives and ensure smooth coordination between customer demand and manufacturing operations.

• Coordinate with Human Resources on manpower planning and training needs for supply chain personnel.

• Ensure effective communication across departments on production schedules and order fulfilment status.

• Lead the teams to achieve operational targets and ensure safe work practices.

• Provide leadership and guidance to ensure operational discipline and adherence to company standards.

Production Operations

• Support production scheduling based on customer orders and manufacturing capacity.

• Monitor production progress and assist in resolving operational issues.

• Ensure raw materials are available to support production and repacking activities.

• Ensure departmental compliance with IMS, GMP and regulatory/statutory requirements (eg. NEA, SPF, SCDF).

Maintenace & Engineering

• Manage preventive and corrective maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability and availability.

• Ensure compliance with IMS, GMP and regulatory/statutory requirements (eg. NEA, SPF, SCDF) at  all manufacturing processes and facilities

• Manage spare parts planning to ensure no disruption to production

• Manage and maintain site infrastructure and facility systems

Customer Order & Tolling Management

• Manage tolling customer orders from order confirmation to delivery

• Manage and Coordinate with finance for billing and documentation

• Ensure timely order fulfilment, accuracy and delivery to customers.

Production Planning

• Manage production planning schedules based on customer orders and manufacturing capacity.

• Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods.

• Support and coordinate with procurement on material replenishment

• Prevent production delays due to material shortages

Warehouse & Logistics

• Manage warehouse operations for raw materials and finished goods, ensuring proper storage, identification, and segregation.

• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure traceability of all materials and products.

• Ensure warehouse processes and documentation comply with IMS, GMP, and applicable regulatory requirements (e.g. NEA, SPF, SCDF).

• Ensure safe storage and handling of hazardous and flammable materials in accordance with regulatory and workplace safety requirements.

Inventory Management

• Maintain optimal inventory levels

• Manage cycle counts and stock reconciliation

• Monitor and manage slow-moving or obsolete inventory

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Support quality and regulatory requirements for product traceability

• Participate in QMS committee activities and ensure departmental compliance with IMS, GMP, EHS and regulatory requirements.

Capital Projects

• Manage and lead plant equipment upgrades and plant improvement projects

• Manage engineering contractors when required

Process Improvement

• Identify opportunities for efficient operation and cost improvement

• Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve supply chain efficiency and reduce

Operational costs.

• Oversee troubleshooting activities and lead root cause analysis for operational issues.
