Fine Arts Manager
Company: Vanpac International Pte Ltd
Location: 105 Second Lok Yang Road, Singapore 628174
Employment Type: Full-Time
About the Role
Vanpac Group Asia, a leading international moving and relocation company with 50 years of experience and 15 locations across Asia, is launching a new fine art and valuables handling service line. We are looking for a Fine Arts Manager to build this service from the ground up — developing client relationships within Singapore's art and collector community, managing our network of specialist crating, insurance, and storage partners, and growing this into a standalone offering within the business.
This is a hands-on, high-ownership role suited to someone who wants to build something new rather than manage an existing large team.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage relationships with private collectors, galleries, dealers, and auction houses in Singapore
- Identify and convert fine art handling opportunities within Vanpac's existing relocation client base
- Manage day-to-day coordination of fine art moves: quoting, scheduling, and client communication
- Source and manage relationships with specialist partners for crating, fine art insurance ("nail to nail" coverage), and climate-controlled storage
- Oversee condition reporting and handling standards for each job, ensuring specialist protocols are followed
- Advise on customs, temporary import/export, and documentation requirements for cross-border art shipments
- Track service line performance (client conversion, margins, job volume) and report to management on growth opportunities
- Represent Vanpac at relevant art fairs and industry events (e.g. Art SG) to build visibility and network
Requirements
- Prior experience in fine art logistics, gallery operations, auction house client services, art handling, or a closely related field
- Existing network within Singapore's art and collector community strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of fine art insurance, customs procedures for art/valuables, and industry handling standards
- Strong client relationship and communication skills; comfortable engaging with high-net-worth individuals, galleries, and institutions
- Commercially minded — able to identify and pursue new business opportunities, not just execute logistics
- Comfortable working autonomously and building a new service line with limited existing infrastructure
- Prior experience in a business development, account management, or client-facing operational role is a plus
- Diploma or degree in a relevant field (Art History, Business, Logistics, or similar) preferred but not required with sufficient industry experience
What We Offer
- Opportunity to build and shape a new service line from the ground up within an established regional company
- Vanpac Singapore
- Direct reporting line to senior management
- Competitive base salary with performance-based incentives tied to service line growth
