Job Description

Responsibilities

Role Summary

As an IT Operations & Asset Specialist, you will play a dual role providing essential onsite IT support for the Singapore office and managing the end-to-end IT asset lifecycle. This position requires a presence onsite 5 days a week to ensure a reliable technology experience for local employees while participating in a global team of technical professionals. You will bridge the gap between physical office support and the critical oversight required for asset procurement, tracking, and logistics.

Key Responsibilities

Onsite IT Operations & Employee Support

  • Onsite Resource: Act as the primary onsite support resource, responding to employee incidents and hardware/software requests.
  • Office Technology: Ensure conference rooms, shared office equipment, and IT systems function properly.
  • Event Support: Provide setup and technical troubleshooting for AV technology and meetings using platforms like Zoom and Google Meet.
  • User Assistance: Deliver professional service for device setup, account access, and secure remote connectivity.

Asset Management & Logistics

  • Lifecycle Management: Own the end-to-end IT asset lifecycle, from procurement schedules to secure disposal or recycling.
  • Inventory & Audits: Conduct regular physical audits and inventories to ensure 100% data accuracy and policy compliance.
  • Logistics & Shipping: Handle all shipping and receiving, managing the secure movement of assets between global locations.
  • Financial Optimization: Partner with Finance to forecast budgets and track expenditures to optimize asset costs.
  • Vendor Liaison: Act as the key contact for vendors regarding contract negotiations and issue resolution.

Operational Excellence

  • On-Call Duties: Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to provide urgent logistics and support, including weekends and holidays.
  • AI Integration: Utilize Generative AI tools to automate repetitive administrative tasks and analyze inventory trends.
  • Compliance: Partner with Security teams to follow access control, compliance policies, and environmental regulations.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or Supply Chain Management.
  • Professional Experience: Proven experience in IT support, helpdesk, or IT asset management, specifically handling high volumes of orders in a fast-paced environment.

Technical Skills

  • Troubleshooting: Strong skills for common hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
  • Tool Proficiency: Expert knowledge of Google Workspace and Microsoft Office (specifically Excel); familiarity with Zoom and Google Meet.
  • AI Literacy: General experience using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, or Copilot) to streamline workflows.
  • Asset Knowledge: Understanding of hardware/software licensing, warranties, and asset tracking practices.

Soft Skills

  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for vendor negotiation and internal collaboration.
  • Precision: High attention to detail to ensure 100% policy compliance.

Preferred Skills & Certifications

  • Certifications: ITIL 4 Foundation, CompTIA A+, Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM), or Microsoft 365 Fundamentals.
  • Technical Toolset: Experience with Jira Service Management, JAMF, Intune, or Oomnitza.
