JobDescription:
You will be responsible for preparing the Group's consolidated financial statements and management reports, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with applicable accounting standards. You will work closely with finance teams across the Group to support financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and statutory reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Consolidation
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual group financial consolidation.
- Prepare accurate and timely consolidated financial statements.
- Reconcile and eliminate intercompany transactions and balances.
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of consolidation adjustments.
Financial Reporting
- Prepare consolidated financial reports in accordance with IFRS/SFRS or other applicable accounting standards.
- Assist in the preparation of management reports, Board papers, and financial analysis.
- Support the year-end statutory audit and liaise with external auditors.
Compliance & Internal Controls
- Ensure compliance with the Group's accounting policies, internal controls, and financial reporting procedures.
- Keep abreast of changes in accounting standards, tax regulations, and reporting requirements.
- Assist in implementing and enhancing financial controls and reporting processes.
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Provide financial insights and analysis to support management decision-making.
- Participate in finance transformation initiatives and ad hoc projects.
Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with finance teams across the Group to ensure consistent reporting.
- Liaise effectively with internal stakeholders, external auditors, tax agents, and other professional advisers.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or an equivalent professional qualification.
- Good understanding of IFRS/SFRS and group consolidation principles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and other advanced Excel functions. Knowledge of VBA, Power Query, or Power BI is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and commitment to meeting deadlines.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently, and a good team player capable of performing under pressure.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in a listed company, multinational corporation, or audit firm.
- Experience in group consolidation and multi-entity financial reporting will be an advantage.
