Job Description

Responsibilities

-Oversee the daily finance and accounting operations for the assigned medical service entities, including specialist clinics, diagnostic centres, and related pharmaceutical or healthcare businesses.

- Review monthly management accounts, financial reports, and variance analysis for each business unit, ensuring accuracy, proper allocation of doctor service income, drug and consumable costs, and timely submission to senior management.

- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring processes, including doctor package structures, clinic operating costs, pharmaceutical inventory purchases, and capital expenditure for medical equipment.

- Support financial planning, cost control, and performance analysis by preparing dashboards and reports for management decisions on clinic expansion, doctor recruitment, service mix optimisation, and payer contract negotiations.

- Coordinate closely with operations, clinic managers, and pharmaceutical teams to improve end-to-end financial processes, billing workflows, and reporting quality, including claim reconciliation, drug charging, and package price setting.

- Monitor internal controls and ensure finance procedures are properly followed, covering patient billing, cash and electronic payments handling, approvals for refunds and write-offs, and compliance with group policies.

- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisers, bankers, and internal stakeholders to support statutory audits, tax compliance, banking facilities and covenants, and any healthcare-related regulatory reporting requirements.

- Lead and support finance system implementation, reporting enhancements, and process automation projects, such as electronic medical record integrations, automated billing, and business intelligence dashboards for clinic performance.

- Guide and supervise junior finance staff and accountants, provide coaching on healthcare-specific accounting treatments, and ensure work quality, standardised procedures, and timely completion of month-end and year-end closing.

- Assist with ad hoc finance projects and management requests, including new clinic or lab, fee schedule reviews, cost-saving initiatives, and scenario analysis for strategic decisions.

- Must demonstrate readiness and proficiency in leveraging AI and IT systems for financial accounting, reporting enhancements, and process automation

Position Requirements

•Credentials: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance; Professional CPA or ACCA qualification.

•Experience: 5+ years of corporate accounting experience, with mandatory healthcare sector exposure.

•Leadership: Proven ability to manage, supervise, and coach junior accounting staff.

•Technical Knowledge: Deep expertise in doctor fee-splitting, clinic billing, and medical inventory.

•Tech & AI Readiness: Proven proficiency in leveraging AI and IT systems for financial automation.
