Job Summary

Operate and maintain large-format digital printing equipment to produce high-quality graphics for exhibitions, events, retail displays, and branding projects. Ensure accurate colour reproduction, efficient production, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate large-format digital printers such Epson, efi 5r+, Flatbed, UV roll to roll large format printers.(UV, Latex, Eco-Solvent, Dye Sublimation or equivalent).
• Print on various materials including vinyl, PVC, fabric, wallpaper, canvas, PET, PP, synthetic paper, foam board, acrylic films, and banners.
• Perform print setup including media loading, RIP software operation, and print queue management.
• Ensure colour consistency and print quality throughout production.
• Familiarity with Onyx, Fiery Frontend for 5r+, Photoprint RIP software
• Able to use Graphics software such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator to check files before sending to print.

File Preparation

• Verify artwork dimensions, bleed, resolution, and colour profiles before printing.
• Perform basic pre-flight checks on artwork.
• Coordinate with graphic designers regarding artwork issues.

Finishing Production

• Operate electric laminator to laminate over printed artworks.
• Prepare graphics for installation.
• Assist with packing and labelling completed jobs.
• Maintain production schedules to meet project deadlines.

Machine Maintenance

• Perform daily cleaning and preventive maintenance of printers.
• Monitor ink levels, print heads, and machine performance.
• Troubleshoot minor machine issues and report major faults.
• Maintain cleanliness of the printing area.

Inventory Management

• Monitor stock levels of media, ink, laminates, and consumables.
• Report low inventory to supervisors.
• Minimise material wastage through efficient production practices.

Quality Control

• Inspect finished products for colour accuracy, defects, scratches, and alignment.
• Ensure work complies with client specifications.
• Reprint defective jobs when necessary.

Team Support

• Coordinate with project managers, designers, carpentry, fabrication, and installation teams.
• Assist with urgent production requirements.
• Support onsite graphic installation when required.

Workplace Safety

• Follow workplace safety procedures when handling equipment and materials.
• Maintain a clean and organised production environment.
• Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) where required.

Requirements

Experience

• 1–3 years of experience operating large-format digital printers preferred.
• Experience in exhibitions, signage, events, or advertising production is advantageous.

Technical Skills

• Experience with RIP software (ONYX, Photo or similar).
• Familiarity with laminating, mounting, and finishing equipment.
• Basic computer skills.
