M&E Technician

About the role

We are seeking a committed and experienced M&E Technician to join our team at FMIT Solutions Sdn Bhd. This full-time position is based in Batu Caves, Kuala Lumpur.

What we're looking for

• Certificate, TVET, SKM Level 3, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Building Services, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in M&E maintenance, facilities management, or building services.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems, CCTV, Access Control, Air-Conditioning/HVAC, plumbing, pumps, generators, fire protection services and other M&E systems.
• Able to perform equipment installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair independently or under supervision.
• Familiar with the use of maintenance tools, testing instruments, and safety procedures.

What you'll be doing

• Assist the Facilities / Project Engineer in executing equipment operation, maintenance, and preventive maintenance plans.
• Perform routine inspections of M&E systems, including electrical, air-conditioning, water pumps, plumbing, and drainage systems, and maintain inspection records.
• Assist in troubleshooting equipment breakdowns and coordinate repair works with contractors.
• Assist in preparing maintenance reports and filing technical documentation.
• Participate in routine inspections, testing, and certification of electrical switch rooms, generator rooms, and central plant rooms.
• Assist in monitoring on-site safety practices to ensure compliance with company safety policies and statutory regulations.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations such as power outages and equipment failures.
• Assist in the installation, commissioning, and testing of electrical, air-conditioning, and mechanical equipment.
• Carry out troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ensure customers' equipment remains in optimal operating condition by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting faults, and resolving technical issues in a timely manner.
• Respond to all work requests related to equipment maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
