Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Café Manager to oversee the daily operations of Queensbury Cafe. The ideal candidate is a strong operator who can manage front and back-of-house staff, ensure excellent guest experience, control costs, and uphold food safety and service standards while helping grow the café as a destination in its own right.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day café operations, including opening/closing procedures, staff scheduling, and service flow
  • Lead, train, and manage café staff (baristas, servers, kitchen crew) to deliver consistent, high-quality service
  • Monitor food and beverage quality, presentation, and consistency across the menu, including Queensbury Cocolac and chocolate-based items
  • Manage inventory, stock ordering, supplier coordination, and cost control to minimise wastage and maximise margins
  • Handle guest feedback, complaints, and service recovery professionally
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health regulations at all times
  • Track daily sales, prepare operational reports, and support budgeting/forecasting
  • Coordinate with the chocolate production and workshop facilitation teams to align café operations with brand events, promotions, and peak visitor periods
  • Support marketing initiatives (in-café promotions, seasonal menus, social media content) in coordination with the marketing team
  • Recruit, onboard, and manage performance of café staff
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming café environment for guests

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in café/F&B management, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or managerial role
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Solid understanding of café operations: barista standards, food service, inventory, and POS systems
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations (certification an advantage)
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to stay composed during busy periods
  • Financially literate — comfortable with budgets, cost control, and basic P&L understanding
  • Customer-first mindset with a passion for hospitality and brand experience
  • Able to work weekends/public holidays as needed

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
