UI/UX Designer

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Employment Type: Contract (Renewable)

Eligibility: This opportunity is currently open to Malaysian Citizens and Malaysian Permanent Residents who are able to work in Malaysia without employment sponsorship.

About the Role

We are looking for a creative and user-focused UI/UX Designer to join our digital product team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating intuitive, engaging, and visually appealing user experiences across web and mobile applications. You will work closely with product managers, business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to transform business requirements into user-centric digital solutions.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about user experience, interaction design, design systems, and delivering high-quality digital products.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and understand business, product, and user requirements.
• Conduct user research, competitor analysis, and usability studies.
• Create user personas, user journeys, information architecture, and customer experience flows.
• Design wireframes, mockups, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs.
• Develop responsive designs for web and mobile applications.
• Create and maintain design systems, UI components, and style guides.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Developers, and QA teams throughout the product lifecycle.
• Ensure designs meet usability, accessibility, and responsive design standards.
• Conduct usability testing and incorporate user feedback into design improvements.
• Work with developers to ensure accurate implementation of designs.
• Maintain consistency across digital products and continuously improve the overall user experience.
• Stay up to date with the latest UI/UX trends, design tools, and industry best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience as a UI/UX Designer, Product Designer, or Digital Experience Designer.
• Strong portfolio showcasing web and mobile application design projects.
• Proficiency in Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar UI/UX design tools.
• Experience creating wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and interactive designs.
• Strong understanding of user-centered design (UCD) principles and design thinking methodology.
• Knowledge of responsive web design and mobile-first design principles.
• Understanding of accessibility (WCAG) and usability best practices.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and front-end development concepts is an advantage.
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent creativity, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience designing enterprise applications, banking, fintech, e-commerce, or SaaS platforms.
• Experience with design systems and component libraries.
• Knowledge of Agile or Scrum methodologies.
• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Miro, Zeplin, or FigJam.
• Basic understanding of front-end frameworks such as React or Angular is a plus.
• Experience conducting usability testing and interpreting user analytics is an added advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

• UX/UI Design Certification from recognized institutions (Google UX Design, Nielsen Norman Group, Interaction Design Foundation, or equivalent) is an advantage.
• Experience working on digital transformation or enterprise application projects is highly preferred.
