Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Network Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with routing, switching, firewalls, wireless networking, VPNs, and network security. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills to ensure high availability, performance, and security across the organization's network environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, WLAN, and SD-WAN environments.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and VPN solutions.
- Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize network efficiency.
- Diagnose and resolve network outages, connectivity issues, and hardware failures.
- Implement network security best practices, including ACLs, VLANs, NAC, IDS/IPS, and firewall policies.
- Configure and maintain routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, and static routing.
- Perform firmware upgrades, patch management, and network maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with system administrators, security teams, and vendors to support business operations.
- Create and maintain network diagrams, documentation, and standard operating procedures.
- Support cloud networking environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Participate in on-call support and respond to network incidents when required.
- Ensure compliance with organizational security policies and industry standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in network engineering or network administration.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, STP, NAT, VPN, QoS, and subnetting.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or similar networking technologies.
- Experience configuring enterprise routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, or Zabbix.
- Experience with wireless technologies (Cisco Meraki, Aruba, Ubiquiti, etc.).
- Understanding of network security principles and best practices.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Cisco CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent certification.
- Experience with SD-WAN technologies.
- Knowledge of cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with network automation using Python, Ansible, or Terraform.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
- ITIL Foundation certification is a plus.
