Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and self-directed Applications Manager to act as a Project Manager for Claims system implementation and AI transformation initiatives as well as provide level 2 support for existing applications.
You will act as the key translator between non-technical business stakeholders, domain experts, and vendors. This role requires a blend of deep technical understanding of claims systems, strong project management acumen, and a comprehensive grasp of financial processes. The successful candidate will independently drive project success from initiation to closure, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and high-quality delivery of complex ERP solutions that align with business objectives.
Responsibilities:
Project Leadership & Management:
- Drive business claims projects from initiation to closure, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
- Collaborate with senior management to define project scope, goals, and comprehensive execution plans.
- Manage resources, timelines, and dependencies while proactively mitigating risks and scope changes.
- Lead and mentor project teams and contractors, fostering accountability and high performance.
- Conduct post-project evaluations to identify improvements and oversee project budget adherence.
Domain Expertise:
- Leverage expertise in Claims/Expense Management systems to guide configuration, testing, and deployment.
- Translate business requirements into technical designs and manage system integration points.
- Apply AI/ML expertise to solution business problems and navigate the AI/data lifecycle.
Stakeholder Management & Communication:
- Serve as the primary IT liaison, translating complex technical topics for non-technical stakeholders.
- Build strong relationships across finance, operations, and IT to drive consensus and validation.
- Communicate status, risks, and strategic updates clearly to all organizational levels.
Risk Management & Quality Assurance:
- Identify and mitigate technical, operational, and ethical risks, particularly in AI projects.
- Ensure compliance with IT standards and oversee comprehensive testing to guarantee data integrity.
- Implement change management strategies to ensure successful user adoption of new tools.
Documentation & Knowledge Transfer:
- Maintain accurate project documentation and facilitate knowledge transfer to support teams and end-users.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT, with at least 1 years specifically managing AI related projects.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering projects as a Project Manager or Lead.
- Strong understanding of business claims process and integration points.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP, PRINCE2, or other relevant project management certification.
- AI Project Management (eg: Professional Certificate in AI and ML Foundation for Executives , PMI Certified Professional in Managing AI (PMI-CPMAI) ) or other relevant certifications
- Familiarity with data migration strategies and tools.
- Experience in Healthcare or non-profit organizations.
