Role Overview: 

As a Senior Backend TypeScript Engineer at Arki, you’ll take the reins of building robust, scalable, and secure backend systems that power our digital wealth advisory platform. Beyond writing code, you’ll serve as the technical authority for backend development, defining how we design, scale, and secure our services. This is a hands-on role where you’ll shape best practices, set the technical bar, and ensure the backend function consistently delivers at the highest level.

What You’ll Do:

• Define and enforce our backend engineering standards, ensuring performance, security, and reliability.
• Act as the primary decision-maker for backend architecture and technology choices.
• Design and implement scalable backend systems with a focus on long-term maintainability.
• Partner with frontend engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Guide and mentor other engineers by providing clarity, reviews, and technical direction.
• Implement best practices in data security and ensure compliance with financial regulations (GDPR, PCI DSS).

About You:

• 8 or more years of experience in backend development with proven delivery of scalable systems.
• Experience building fintech or banking solutions.
• Expertise in Node.js + TypeScript.
• Deep AWS infrastructure experience is a must.
• Strong knowledge of relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB) databases.
• Proven track record as the go-to authority for backend development in past roles.
• Strong communicator who can balance technical depth with clarity for cross-functional stakeholders.
• Comfortable taking ownership of backend decisions that shape the entire product.
