About the Role

The Software Engineer is responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining software applications across Front-end, Back-end, Mobile, and Database technologies.

This role requires strong technical capability, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. You will work closely with Product Managers, Designers, and other Engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions aligned with business and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Software Development

• Design, code, test, debug, and maintain software applications and system components.
• Develop efficient, scalable, and maintainable software solutions.
• Participate in system enhancement and application optimization initiatives.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies, tools, and industry best practices.

Software Documentation

• Prepare and maintain technical documentation including system architecture, design specifications, and source code references.
• Ensure documentation remains updated following system enhancements or changes.

Problem Solving & Support

• Analyse, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and technical issues promptly.
• Provide technical support and maintenance for software applications and systems.
• Perform debugging, testing, and performance optimization activities.

Collaboration

• Work closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to understand project requirements and deliver solutions effectively.
• Participate actively in code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Contribute to the overall software development lifecycle and team objectives.

Security & Compliance

• Apply software security best practices to reduce vulnerabilities and system risks.
• Ensure developed applications comply with internal standards, policies, and security requirements.

Technical Scope:

Front-end

• HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Angular, or equivalent frameworks

Back-end

• Java, .NET, Node.js, PHP, or equivalent technologies

Mobile

• Android, iOS, Flutter, React Native, or equivalent mobile technologies

Databases

• MySQL, Oracle, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, or equivalent databases

Tools & Platforms

• Git / Bitbucket
• Atlassian JIRA
• REST API Integration
• CI/CD and DevOps practices (optional)

Key Requirements:

Academic Qualification

• Degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
• Strong foundation in software development, programming, and system design concepts.

Experience

• 0 – 2 years of hands-on experience in software development.
• Experience in Front-end, Back-end, Mobile, or Database development.
• Familiarity with software testing, debugging, and troubleshooting practices.
• Experience with version control systems and project management tools is an advantage.

Technical Competencies

• Strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Knowledge of software architecture, application development, and database concepts.
• Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and optimize software applications.
