Job Description

Responsibilities

Location: Singapore

Role Summary

We are looking for a Logistics Supervisor to lead day-to-day warehouse operations in a multi-account 3PL environment. You will be accountable for daily planning, manpower deployment, operational throughput, inventory integrity, and WMS execution discipline. This role is hands-on and floor-based, with clear ownership of execution and stability under changing priorities.

Key Responsibilities

Daily planning and operational execution

  • Develop and execute the daily operating plan covering inbound, outbound, returns, cycle counts, and value-added activities (where applicable).
  • Deploy manpower by workstream, adjust priorities in real time based on volume and constraints, and ensure operational cut-offs are met.
  • Lead daily shift briefings and end-of-day reviews to confirm completion status, outstanding backlogs, root causes, and recovery actions.
  • Maintain control of staging, dispatch readiness, and floor discipline to prevent last-minute escalation and rework.

Team leadership and performance management

  • Supervise warehouse assistants and part-timers, including task allocation, coaching, attendance control, and day-to-day discipline.
  • Establish clear work standards for productivity and accuracy, and enforce them consistently.
  • Identify performance gaps early, document issues objectively, and support corrective actions with management.
  • Drive cross-training and coverage planning to maintain continuity during manpower fluctuations.

Inventory control and discrepancy closure

  • Own inventory integrity including stock accuracy, location accuracy, and discrepancy closure discipline.
  • Run a structured cycle count routine and ensure investigations are completed with proper closure, not left open.
  • Lead variance investigations: identify where the process broke, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence.
  • Enforce putaway and location governance to prevent uncontrolled storage and “park now, fix later” practices.

WMS and process discipline

  • Ensure accurate WMS execution across receiving, putaway, picking, packing, dispatch, returns, and inventory adjustments.
  • Maintain system hygiene including correct statuses, transaction timing, holds management, and audit trail discipline.
  • Identify workflow gaps that drive operational errors or rework and recommend process/system improvements.
  • Ensure proper scanner/WMS compliance on the floor, with no shortcuts that undermine accuracy.

Quality, safety, and housekeeping

  • Reduce operational errors (mis-picks, mis-packs, incorrect labels, handling damages) through controls, coaching, and follow-up.
  • Implement and maintain appropriate QC checkpoints based on product risk and operational requirements.
  • Enforce housekeeping/5S and safety practices as daily standards, not ad-hoc activities.

Operational controls and reporting

  • Maintain daily operational controls: backlog tracking, aging exceptions, manpower deployment visibility, and operational risk list.
  • Provide concise daily updates to the Operations Manager on output, misses, constraints, and action plans.
  • Track recurring issues and drive closure with practical, sustainable fixes.

Requirements / Experience

  • 3–7 years’ experience in warehouse operations within contract logistics / 3PL or a similar high-volume environment.
  • 1–3 years in a supervisory or team lead role (formal or acting).
  • Strong operational understanding across inbound, outbound, returns, and inventory control.
  • WMS experience is required beyond basic usage; strong grasp of operational workflows and system discipline needed for clean execution.
  • Proven people leadership with the ability to coach, enforce standards, and manage discipline appropriately.
  • Strong follow-up discipline, structured problem-solving, and calm execution under pressure.

Skills / Traits

  • Structured and execution-focused: plans the day, runs the floor, and closes loops.
  • Accountable and direct: does not rely on excuses or passive waiting.
  • Data-aware: understands the drivers behind output, backlog, and accuracy.
  • Clear communicator: firm, fair, and consistent with the team.

Nice-to-have

  • Multi-account 3PL experience (fashion, retail, e-commerce distribution).
  • Experience managing peak periods and part-timer workforce planning.
  • Familiarity with RF scanners, bin/location discipline, and structured cycle count programs.

For this role, 5.5 days work week
