Responsibilities:

• To operate and maintain electrical installations within the permitted voltage level.
• To ensure all electrical equipment and systems are in compliance with the Electricity Act and Regulations.
• To carry out switching, isolation, tagging, and earthing procedures safely.
• To monitor and record electrical parameters (voltage, current, power factor, etc.).
• To assist in the implementation of preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
• To respond to electrical faults and emergencies promptly.
• To maintain logbooks, maintenance records, and electrical drawings.
• To supervise external contractors during electrical works.
• To conduct routine inspections of electrical panels, switchgear, transformers, and lighting systems.
• To liaise with energy commission (Suruhanjaya Tenaga) and other authorities as required.
• Issue Permit to Work (PTW) for electrical maintenance activities.

Authority:

• To carry out switching and isolation of low voltage (LV) electrical installations as per SOP.
• To issue Permit to Work (PTW) for electrical maintenance activities.
• To enforce lockout / tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• To stop unsafe electrical work immediately.
• To recommend spare parts and repairs for electrical systems.
• To verify contractor's work compliance with regulations.

Academic Qualification:

• Minimum SPM / Certificate in Electrical Engineering
• Valid Chargeman certificate from Suruhanjaya Tenaga (Energy Commission)
• Basic safety training (e.g., NIOSH, CIDB, or equivalent)

Skills & Experience:

• At least 2–3 years of experience in electrical maintenance and operation.
• Knowledge of electrical regulations, switchgear, and protection systems.
• Able to read and interpret single-line diagrams (SLD) and electrical schematics.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer skills (MS Excel, Word, maintenance log systems).
• Physically fit and able to work in challenging environments.
• Team player with good communication skills.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends, or respond to call-outs if required.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: RM5,500.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
