Media & Communication Executive

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain NCCIM’s social media platforms, including preparing, scheduling and publishing suitable content.
- Develop publicity and promotional materials such as posters, event announcements, social media captions, newsletters and corporate updates.
- Capture and prepare photographs, videos and other digital content for NCCIM’s programmes, meetings, courtesy visits, conferences and official events.
- Coordinate media coverage for NCCIM activities, including liaising with media representatives, photographers, videographers and relevant service providers.
- Draft press releases, media statements, event write-ups, speeches, captions and other communications materials for review and approval.
- Update NCCIM’s website and ensure information on programmes, office bearers, announcements and activities is accurate and current.
- Support the publicity and promotion of NCCIM events, including conferences, forums, annual general meetings, business programmes and stakeholder engagements.
- Maintain and organise NCCIM’s media library, including photographs, videos, artwork, press releases, media coverage and publicity records.
- Monitor media coverage and social media engagement relating to NCCIM and prepare periodic media or publicity reports.
- Ensure all published materials comply with NCCIM’s branding, corporate image and communication standards.
- Liaise with NCCIM constituent chambers, government agencies, members, partners and other stakeholders to obtain content and publicity information.
- Provide media, publicity and communications support directly to the Secretary-General.
- Perform any other media, communications, publicity or administrative duties assigned by the Secretary-General.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum Diploma in Mass Communication, Media Studies, Public Relations, Marketing, Digital Media or a related field.
- Preferably at least one year of relevant working experience; however, fresh graduates with a strong portfolio may be considered.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Knowledge of Mandarin will be preferred.
- Able to prepare social media content, captions, posters and basic corporate communications materials.
- Familiar with social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok and YouTube.
- Knowledge of Canva, Adobe applications, video-editing software or similar content-creation tools would be an advantage.
- Able to take photographs and videos during programmes and events.
- Good time management skill and able to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
- Able to work independently, handle urgent assignments and attend events outside normal working hours when required.
- Organised, creative, responsive and able to maintain confidentiality.
Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
