Role Overview

We are seeking a hands-on, safety-conscious Mechanical Technician to provide first-line technical support for high-precision semiconductor capital equipment. In this role, you will be responsible for the initial staging, uncrating, heavy move-in, and precise positioning of advanced manufacturing systems within cleanroom environments.

Key Responsibilities

• First-Line Equipment Handling: Lead and execute system uncrating, rigging, move-in, and precise positioning at customer plant locations.
• Mechanical Staging & Assembly: Perform basic mechanical assembly, structural alignment, sub-system mounting, and utility hookup preparation.
• Site Support: Work closely with field engineering teams to provide physical and mechanical technical assistance during early-stage installations.
• Safety & Cleanroom Compliance: Strictly adhere to site safety (EHS) protocols, cleanroom standards, and heavy lifting/rigging guidelines.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Diploma, NITEC, or Higher NITEC in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or relevant technical discipline.
• Experience: 1–3 years of hands-on experience in equipment move-in, mechanical rigging, cleanroom staging, or machine maintenance.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with vacuum systems, mechanical fasteners, and pneumatic lines. Basic understanding of electrical connections and facility hookups. Experience with semiconductor or high-tech capital equipment is highly preferred.
• Attributes: Strong team player, physically fit for equipment handling, detail-oriented, and safety-focused.
