Responsibilities

About the Role


Malaysia Marine & Heavy Engineering (MMHE) is looking for a motivated Executive, Dimensional Surveyor to support dimensional control activities for offshore and heavy engineering projects. You will play a key role in ensuring structural components, modules, and equipment are fabricated, assembled, and installed in accordance with engineering drawings, project specifications, and dimensional tolerances.


This role offers the opportunity to work on complex offshore construction projects while collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams.


Key Responsibilities


  • Carry out dimensional control surveys during fabrication, assembly, and module integration activities.
  • Establish and maintain survey control points, benchmarks, and grid systems to ensure dimensional accuracy.
  • Perform layout setting, elevation checks, equipment positioning, flange orientation, and as-built surveys.
  • Verify structural alignment and dimensional compliance against engineering drawings and project specifications.
  • Prepare, maintain, and submit accurate survey reports and documentation.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Construction, QA/QC, and project teams to resolve dimensional issues and support project execution.
  • Ensure survey instruments and measurement equipment are calibrated and maintained in accordance with company standards.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance survey quality, accuracy, and operational efficiency.


Requirements


  • Bachelor's Degree in Land Surveying or a related discipline.
  • 0–5 years of relevant experience in dimensional surveying, engineering surveying, or construction surveying.
  • Experience in offshore, oil & gas, shipbuilding, marine, fabrication, or heavy engineering projects will be an added advantage.
  • Proficient in using Total Stations, Laser Scanners, and other precision surveying equipment.
  • Good understanding of engineering drawings, 3D models, isometric drawings, and fabrication tolerances.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced project environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
