To succeed in this role, you'll need to stay ahead of the curve when it comesto technology trends and advancements. You'll work closely with our technologyteams to design, implement, and maintain our infrastructure, ensuring it'saligned with our business goals and objectives. You'll need to be proactive,collaborative, and always looking for ways to improve our systems andprocesses.

What you do

  • Managed or designed Group Policy (GPO) in large enterprise environments (e.g. 5,000+ endpoints).
  • Implemented Microsoft Security Baselines or CIS Benchmarks using GPO.
  • Experience with Windows endpoint hardening, including BitLocker, Defender, Firewall, SmartScreen, ASR Rules, USB/device control.
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory, OU design, GPO inheritance, security filtering, WMI filtering, and loopback processing.
  • Hands-on experience with GPO troubleshooting, including GPResult, RSOP, GPMC and SYSVOL/replication issues.
  • Led or participated in GPO rationalisation, consolidation, governance, or policy review exercises.
  • Experience deploying enterprise policies for M365 Apps, Edge/Chrome, VPN, Wi-Fi, printers, certificates and security controls.
  • Experience with PowerShell automation for GPO administration, reporting or compliance checks.
  • Exposure to Intune, Entra ID (Azure AD), Co-management, and GPO-to-Intune migration initiatives.
  • Experience working in regulated industries such as banking, financial services, government or healthcare.
  • Designed, governed, troubleshot and operationalised GPO at scale.
  • Can bridge Traditional GPO and Intune Configuration Profiles to manage endpoints.
  • Experience having developed PowerShell automation to audit 500+ GPOs and identify conflicting settings.

Who you are

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related discipline, with 10+ years of experience in endpoint or workplace engineering roles, including leadership responsibility across regional or global enterprise environments.
  • Strong track record in managing large‑scale, multi‑region endpoint platforms and controls using SCCM, Group Policy Objects (GPO), and Microsoft Intune.
  • Hands‑on experience implementing and managing enterprise endpoint security solutions, including the Microsoft Defender security suite, in regulated environments.
  • Advanced scripting and automation expertise using PowerShell and Python; working knowledge of Microsoft SQL preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Studio and Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)
  • Solid grounding in technology risk management, security controls, and regulatory compliance, with prior experience supporting audits and regulatory reviews across multiple jurisdictions; relevant certifications are an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise AI governance
  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex, systemic issues at enterprise and regional scale, spanning multiple platforms and dependencies.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical risks, trade‑offs, and recommendations to senior executives and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently while managing multiple, concurrent initiatives across regions and time zones.
  • Proven history of driving operational excellence, including process standardisation, automation, and continuous improvement at scale.
  • Extensive experience working within matrixed, globally distributed teams, partnering effectively with regional IT, security, architecture, and external service providers.
