Position Overview

The EHS Associate / Coordinator supports day-to-day Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) operations within a regulated manufacturing environment, ensuring compliance with internal standards and Singapore Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements. This role partners closely with operations, engineering, laboratory, facilities, and project teams to coordinate EHS programs, maintain documentation and compliance readiness, deliver training, support audits and incident management, and promote a strong safety culture. The successful candidate will also contribute to brownfield expansion projects, contractor safety, and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring EHS actions are effectively tracked and completed

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate day-to-day EHS programs, meetings, action tracking, stakeholder follow-ups, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support site safety campaigns, Serious Injury and Fatality Prevention (SIF) initiatives, safety stand-downs, and EHS performance monitoring.
  • Maintain EHS records, compliance documentation, training records, permits, and data within systems such as Cority, Humantech, INCA, GETS, SharePoint, and Smartsheet.
  • Prepare audit evidence and support regulatory inspections, internal audits, compliance reviews, and management reporting.
  • Deliver EHS training, toolbox talks, safety briefings, and awareness programs while tracking training completion and refresher requirements.
  • Coordinate workplace inspections, audits, incident investigations, risk assessments, CAPA activities, and corrective action follow-up.
  • Support industrial hygiene activities, ergonomics assessments, chemical management, LOTO program reviews, and contractor safety compliance.
  • Conduct workplace walkdowns to identify safety risks, unsafe behaviours, housekeeping issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide EHS support for laboratory, manufacturing, engineering, facilities, maintenance, and capital project activities.
  • Assist with change management, permit-to-work compliance, pre-start-up safety reviews (PSSR), design safety reviews, commissioning activities, and brownfield expansion projects.

Required Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Environment, Health & Safety (EHS), Engineering, Science, Industrial Hygiene, or a related discipline. 2–4 years of relevant experience in EHS, safety coordination, or operational support.
  • Experience within regulated manufacturing environments such as pharmaceuticals, semiconductors, laboratories, engineering, facilities, or related industries is preferred.
  • Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) certification is an advantage.
  • Working knowledge of EHS management systems, risk assessments, audits, CAPA, permit-to-work systems, contractor management, and Singapore WSH regulations.
  • Strong communication, coordination, documentation, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, able to work independently, and comfortable engaging with employees, contractors, and cross-functional teams.
